Friedrichsdorf, 15. October 2008 – As soon as the new VW Scirocco is at the dealerships, the first tuning packages for the sporty Wolfsburg are available. For the Scirocco, Oettinger offers both a visual refinement and performance enhancements.
For a dynamic appearance
To make the three-door appear even more dynamic, the Hessian tuner offers a body kit. For the front there are so-called aero flaps, which are mounted under the fog lights and connected to one another by a splitter. There are also side skirts and a rear diffuser. These add-on parts are available for 1390 euros.
40 additional horsepower
The refiner also adds more under the hood. By changing the engine management system, the VW athlete can get 40 additional horsepower. The 1st.4 TSI then produces an incredible 200 hp instead of the standard 160, the 2.0 TSI can be increased from 200 to 240 HP. Especially in the case of the 1st.4 TSI the question arises whether this can work mechanically. For the engine tuning, 1290 euros are due. Oettinger is also announcing a true power Scirocco for the end of the year. The two-liter turbo should be trimmed to up to 350 hp and a torque of 470 Newton meters. There is also a coilover kit, a larger brake system, a highly polished stainless steel exhaust system and a larger charge air cooler.
Other components on offer
Also on offer for the Scirocco are sports rims up to 20 inches thick, a carbon interior, door sill strips made of stainless steel and aluminum pedals. The entire tuning program will be available from December 2008. The 350 hp variant is still in the testing phase, but should also come this year.
